Interview with Jeweller Warwick Freeman

Warwick Freeman talks about how his works address issues of identity.

Staff pick by Tom Riley, Corporate Information Advisor

Why picked? I like the way that Warwick Freeman talks about different kinds of identity – the identity of the object, the identity of the wearer, and his own identity. He gives us a window into the ideas which shape his work, and talks about how those ideas have changed over time.  There’s also a nice contrast in the video between his words and his actions; we hear the theory, and we see his hands scraping, filing, hammering, giving those ideas a physical form.

Filmed in 2011 for the exhibition Collecting Contemporary.
